The Playboy Bunny Cries

The Media and Entertainment industries lost an icon yesterday when Hugh Hefner, founder of Playboy magazine died at his home, the infamous Playboy Mansion, at the age of 91. Nobody loved women more than Hefner, both figuratively and literally. He was an iconic figure who successfully built a media and entertainment empire solely based on his adoration of the female form during an era when no one thought he should or could do so.

Hefner's obituary in the New York Times accurately described him to a tee.

"He was compared to Jay Gatsby, Citizen Kane and Walt Disney, but Mr. Hefner was his own production. He repeatedly likened his life to a romantic movie; it starred an ageless sophisticate in silk pajamas and smoking jacket hosting a never-ending party for famous and fascinating people."

Wherever you are Hugh, I hope you are surrounded by beautiful women and are wearing your favorite velvet smoking jacket over a fine silk pajama suit, of course. Today, all the bunnies shed a tear.

Playboy Logo Crying - Billboard idea

This was not intended to be passed off as an original idea and many designers have added a tear to other famous logos. My intention was to solely pay respect, as a woman, for the brand which Hefner built. The Playboy bunny logo is a trademark of Playboy Enterprises.
